Care & Support Worker – Oaktree

Experience of providing support to residents would be an advantage but not essential as fully paid training will be provided.
The role:
You’ll support and assist our residents, to fulfil their daily and long-term goals, creating positive outcomes in their lives. Working in a passionate way to provide excellent person-centred care to our residents, you’ll ensure all our residents are happy and cared for in the best way possible. Please note due to the requirements of the service, this position is for nights only.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Administer medication to residents, with due diligence and care.
2. Provide dignified personal care to our residents when necessary.
3. Proactively make a difference with our residents and supporting with decision making and lifestyle choices to continually provide person- centred care, including seeking to provide a range of activities for residents, by keeping abreast of local media and event sites.
4. Demonstrating strong clear communication skills, communicating with colleagues and residents in a calm and confident, caring manner.
5. Keeping residents records up to date and ensuring notes are made in a clear and concise manner, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
6. Keep up to date with mandatory and ad hoc training courses when required. Attend regular supervision with your senior team to ensure high standard and values are always maintained.
7. Uphold your rota and communicating any changes to the senior team.
8. Support our residents to maintain a habitual home environment.
As a precondition of this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
What you’ll bring:
1. A naturally caring disposition and be passionate about the care you deliver.
2. Strong command of written and verbal English.
3. Full clean UK Driving Licence and access to a car would be preferred.
4. Valid Care certification and Oliver McGowan Training.
5. Enhanced adult workforce DBS on the update service.
6. Experience of working within a supported living or community setting would be advantageous.
