A Cornish Adventure: Our Residents' Trip to Cornwall
This summer, some of our residents swapped the familiar surroundings of Manor for three days of sea air, sandy beaches, and Cornish charm. From thrill rides to seaside strolls, it was a trip packed with laughter, fresh air, and plenty of happy memories. Here's how it went.

Day One: Camel Creek Adventure Park
We kicked things off with a day at Camel Creek Adventure Park. There was something for everyone, from watching the rides and enjoying the lively atmosphere, to relaxing in the gardens with an ice cream in hand. It was the perfect way to start the holiday, full of energy and excitement, and a great chance for residents to spend quality time together outside of their usual routine.
Day Two: Padstow and Harlyn Beach
Day two took us to the pretty harbour town of Padstow, where we wandered along the water's edge, admired the fishing boats, and soaked up the town's easy-going charm. There was time to browse the shops and enjoy a bite to eat before heading to nearby Harlyn Beach. With its wide stretch of golden sand and gentle waves, Harlyn was the perfect spot to sit back, breathe in the sea air, and enjoy the views. Some residents paddled, others simply enjoyed the sunshine, but everyone agreed it was a beautiful spot to spend an afternoon.
Day Three: Newquay
We rounded off the trip with a day in Newquay. The morning began with some time on the beach, before a wander around the town and a spot of shopping. As the day wound down, we treated ourselves to a well-earned pub meal, the perfect way to reflect on a wonderful few days away before heading back to our accommodation.
Why Trips Like This Matter
Holidays away from the home aren't just a nice treat, they're an important part of wellbeing. New sights, fresh air, and a change of scenery can lift spirits, spark old memories, and create new ones. Trips like this also give residents the chance to explore, socialise, and enjoy a sense of independence and adventure, all while being supported by our familiar, caring team.
From adventure parks to harbour towns and sandy beaches, this trip to Cornwall was three days of memories our residents will be talking about for a long time to come. We can't wait for the next one.
