Apprentice Experience

Ella Lacey • March 7, 2018

I have been working at Manor Community as an apprentice for nearly a year and a half. I found the apprenticeship through an agency and once I was offered the job I was really looking forward to gaining experience and learning new skills. I work closely with the company director and administrative staff. I have learnt lots of new skills and increased my knowledge of tasks such as: diary management, designing the company newsletter, administering the company intranet, organising events, call management, managing customer service and more. I also occasionally help in the admin office answering and logging calls on our monitoring system. I feel like I have gained lots of experience since working here and my confidence has grown in areas which I wasn’t that confident in at the start. I would definitely recommend an apprenticeship to both employers and employees.
